3D PRINTING CLASS ADVANCED
Your Imagination Designed in 3D.
Service Description
Advanced 3D Design & Mechanical Printing Class Length: 1 Hour Skill Level: Advanced Class Size: Limited to 10 students Schedule: Sundays at 6:00 PM Build Beyond the Basics. Design It. Engineer It. Make It Move. Ready to move beyond simply downloading and printing designs? This advanced class is for creators who want to learn how to design and build their own 3D creations completely from scratch. In this class, you’ll learn how to combine basic geometric shapes and design elements to create more complex objects. We’ll break larger projects into individual components, build them step-by-step, and bring those pieces together to create a finished product. The class will also introduce mechanical design concepts, including creating projects with working and moving parts. You’ll learn how different pieces can fit together, move, connect, and function as part of a complete design. What You’ll Learn How to design freely without relying on pre-made models How to combine geometric shapes to create complex designs How to build a project step-by-step from individual components How to design pieces that fit and work together Introduction to mechanical and moving parts How to plan a project before designing it How to modify designs when something doesn't work as expected How to turn an idea into a functional 3D-printed creation Advanced problem-solving and design techniques Project-Based Learning Each class will feature different potential projects designed to challenge your creativity and problem-solving skills. Rather than following the same project every time, students will have the opportunity to vote at the beginning of class on which project the group would like to create. Projects may include objects with: Moving components Hinges and joints Interlocking pieces Rotating parts Multiple assembled components Functional mechanical elements The goal is not simply to print an object—the goal is to understand how to design it, build it, make it work, and troubleshoot it when it doesn't. Advanced Class — Limited Enrollment Because this class involves more advanced instruction, hands-on guidance, and project development, only 10 spots are available per class. Classes are currently offered Sundays at 6:00 PM to provide the focused environment needed for advanced projects. This class is designed for makers who are ready to take creative control of the entire process—from an idea in your head to a working object in your hands.
