3D Printing & Creative Design — Intermediate Class Length: 1 Hour Skill Level: Intermediate / Medium Ready to take your creative projects to the next level? This intermediate 3D printing class is designed for students who already have a basic understanding of Tinkercad, 3D design software, or other creative design platforms such as Silhouette Studio, Inkscape, or similar programs. In this class, you will learn how to turn your creative ideas and images into 3D-printable designs and create your own STL files. We’ll explore the process of preparing designs for 3D printing, making adjustments to improve print quality, and troubleshooting common issues that can occur with your 3D printer. What You’ll Learn How to create and export your own STL files How to transform images and graphics into designs suitable for 3D printing Basic techniques for creating custom 3D-printable projects How to prepare files for printing How to identify and troubleshoot common 3D printing problems How to make adjustments to improve print quality Tips for working with different creative design platforms and tools Projects Throughout the class, we’ll focus on fun, practical projects that allow you to put your new skills to work, including: Custom name tags Small image keychains Personalized designs and accessories Turning simple images or graphics into 3D-printable creations Prerequisite Students should have basic knowledge of Tinkercad, 3D design software, or another creative design platform such as Silhouette Studio, Inkscape, or a similar program.
